01Our model

One donation. Generations of music.

A fine string instrument can cost a fortune. For young musicians, even the most talented, such sums are out of reach. Yet the instrument shapes their sound, their development and their chances on the concert stage.

This is where we come in. The INSTRUMENTUM Foundation acquires master instruments as permanent assets and loans them free of charge to exceptional young talents. We call this an instrument scholarship. When one musician moves on, the instrument passes to the next.

  1. We select and acquire

Guided by years of expertise, we choose outstanding master instruments for the foundation.

  2. We loan them free of charge

Each instrument goes to a qualified young musician, where it can make the greatest difference.

  3. We pass them on

The instrument stays with the foundation and moves on from one talent to the next.

Your donation keeps working for generations

Every instrument is also cultural heritage. We safeguard it for future generations and keep it where it belongs: on stage.

The Schleske violin op. 149 for a young talent

Martin Schleske, 2011

First-class violins are rare and often unaffordable for young musicians. Your donation goes directly toward:

  • Purchase of the violin Schleske op. 149
  • Scholarship management: administration, contracts and support
  • Instrument care: maintenance and setup, insurance, case and transport

The violin becomes the property of the INSTRUMENTUM Foundation and remains available to qualified young talents for the long term.
